I am Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Liverpool where I primarily teach ethics and political philosophy.

From September 2024 to August 2025 I was a Teaching Fellow in Ethics at the University of College Dublin.

From 2020 until 2024 I was a Teaching Fellow in Philosophy at Trinity College Dublin. I primarily taught metaethics and ethics from first year undergraduate level to postgraduate level.

Previously I was a Visiting Lecturer in Philosophy at Code University, Berlin (2020), an Honorary Fellow at The University of Liverpool (2020/21 – 2024/25), and a University Teacher at The University of Liverpool (2015 – 2020).

Creative Writing

• Earlier this year I taught a couse on writing philosophical fiction for the Irish Writers Centre.

• At the University of Liverpool I teach Ethics, and Mind, Knowledge, and Reality.
• At University College Dublin I taught Introduction to Ethics, Applied Ethics, and Ethics in Public Life.
• At Trinity College Dublin I taught metaethics, ethics, and the philosophy of disability from first year UG level to Postgraduate level.
• During the latter half of 2020 I was a visiting lecturer at Code University in Berlin.
• I taught Philosophy at the University of Liverpool from September 2015 until May 2020.

Teaching Experience

Trinity College Dublin

• I’ve taught, created, and run modules on metaethics and normative ethics at all undergraduate levels from 2020.
• I taught an advanced MPhil course on Metaethics.

Code University, Berlin

• I taught a general philosophy course to students who had not previously engaged with philosophy. I taught on a wide range of topics including but not limited to, metaethics, aesthetics, and the philosophy of mind.

University of Liverpool

• At Liverpool I primarily taught and led modules on ethics (including practical ethics, business ethics), and political philosophy.

Freelance

• I’ve led creative writing workshops on a freelance basis since 2022. I am currently open for bookings in 2025.
• In 2020 I was a freelance private tutor in philosophy. I taught on a range of subjects, from metaphysics, political philosophy, and feminism, to ancient philosophy.
